 LITHOLOGICAL AND GEOLOGICAL 
 CHARACTERISTICS

 Dating from the Paleosoic era, this 
 marble is a classical metamorphical
 one. The marble found as lenses inside
 the Afyon Metamorphites. Mode of 
 green schist facies is overlied by
 Neogene Volcanites. It consists of
 calcite crystals of granoblastic texture.
 Being mainly white, it contains
 occasional yellow veins.
